Eugénie SIGA was born in Marseille, France, but is originally from Sénégal. She is from a family of the third largest ethnic group in Senegal, the Serer and is passionate about jewelry, specially those worn by the Serer, but also jewels from other continents.
African jewelry has a precise symbolic meaning, often referring to fauna and the surrounding flora. Through its passion, Eugénie Siga wishes to make us discover a whole cultural and traditional symbolism and thus reveal us messages of eternity.
Eugénie Siga's jewels are made in Africa (Sénégal, Mali) by artisans working closely together under family cooperation.
Each unique jewel is entierely handcrafted and combine african tradition and modernity.
With the jewel, carefully packaged in a cotton sleeve, is joined a notice explaining the story of how it was made.
